Senior Java Developer

• 12 Month Contract – Government Department
• CBD Location – Hybrid Working Arrangement
• Core Java, Angular, Spring and Spring boot

The Role

Our Government client is looking for a Full Stack Java Developer to design, build and test technical solutions and implement new or modified functionality to the required specifications and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Use Agile principles to develop working software that meet business requirements and exceed expectations
• Leverage DevOps tools, methodologies and new ways of working to turn around technical solutions for multiple, parallel tracks, under aggressive timelines
• Develop technical solutions as per requirement specifications for new and altered functionalities
• Automate existing manual processes in the SDLC achieve productivity and efficiency gains through build and test automation
• Troubleshoot software defects, incidents and problems using ITIL framework

Key Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Senior Java Developer
• Strong experience with Angular, Spring and Spring boot
• Experience working with Agile & DevOps to achieve automation, improve processes and reduce costs/turn-around time
• Modern web UI technologies, e.g. Angular and React
• Software Engineering Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualification n/experience – highly regarded
