Senior Tax Accountant

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing team based in Joondalup. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and professional environment.

About the Role

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end preparation and review of tax obligations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.

A key part of this role is building and maintaining strong client relationships. You will act as a trusted advisor, confidently communicating complex tax concepts in a clear and practical way. You will also work closely with partners on more complex matters, gaining exposure to higher-level advisory work.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, takes pride in delivering excellent client service, and is looking to grow into a more senior or leadership-focused role over time.

This is a full‑time, in‑office role based in our Joondalup office. We value collaboration, mentoring, and client interaction — all of which happen best on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of individual, company, trust, and partnership tax returns and financial statements
• Managing and building strong client relationships
• Ensuring compliance with Australian taxation laws and regulations
• Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients
• Preparing and reviewing Business Activity Statements (BAS), IAS, and other compliance reporting

About You

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in public practice accounting (taxation focus)
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant accounting qualification
• Experience with Xero Practice Manager, FYI and BGL preferable
