Senior Mechanical Engineer (Site Based)

This is an immediate start FIFO contract role offering a strong pipeline of work and potential extension beyond the initial term.

The Role

Working as part of a project delivery team, you will provide on-site engineering support across mechanical and dry materials handling systems within an operational brownfields mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support during project execution and completion
• Deliver engineering designs, reviews, and technical calculations
• Support installation, commissioning, and site-based problem solving
• Ensure compliance with relevant client and industry standards
• Liaise closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders on site
• Contribute to safe and efficient project delivery outcomes

About You

• Minimum 7 years' relevant mechanical engineering experience within mining/resources
• Strong background in dry materials handling and iron ore projects
• Previous brownfields project experience highly regarded
• Knowledge of major iron ore operator standards essential
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to work effectively in a site-based project environment

FIFO Details

• 8:6 FIFO roster
• 12-hour days
• 6-month contract with possible extension
• Immediate start available
