About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Network Engineer to take on a technical leadership role within a large-scale infrastructure program.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network solutions across on-premise and cloud environments. This role also includes mentoring team members, driving best practice, and acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Delivery

• Design and implement network solutions across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, and VPNs
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure across on-prem and Azure environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and connectivity issues
• Support deployment of new environments and infrastructure upgrades

Architecture & Governance

• Develop technical designs, documentation, and architecture standards
• Perform peer reviews of network designs and solutions
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, security, and best practice standards

Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders
• Provide guidance to delivery teams and technical consultants
• Collaborate across application, cloud, and infrastructure teams

Operations & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes
• Support ongoing service improvement and optimisation initiatives
• Contribute to automation and modernisation of operational processes

Key Requirements

• 7+ years’ experience in network engineering and infrastructure delivery
• WAN, VPN, firewalls, load balancing, wireless, L2/L3 networking
• Hands-on experience with network equipment and vendor technologies (e.g. Fortinet)
• Strong understanding of cloud and hybrid networking concepts
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting, testing, and debugging network systems
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to work independently

Nice to Have

• Certifications in Azure or AWS
• Experience with OT network environments
• Experience delivering transition and transformation projects
• Exposure to network automation and cloud platform services

Working Conditions

• Participation in a 24/7 on-call roster
• Availability for after-hours changes and support
