Financial Analyst – Forensic & Data Analytics
Full-time | Up to $120,000 + super |CA/CPA /IPA or CFE study support available
About the Role
A global insurance firm is looking for a consultant with a finance or accounting background who enjoys data analytics. You'll work in a collaborative team, handling insurance claim across fraud, cyber, weather, construction and stock events that result in a business being unable to trade. You will be dealing with every industry under the sun so plenty of variety and no 2 days are the same.
What You'll Be Doing
- Forensic claims work - reviewing P&Ls, modelling revenue trends, analysing invoices, CPI impacts, and financial history (approx. 70%)
- Data analytics - working with large, complex datasets to reconcile, match, and model financial outcomes in Excel (approx. 30%)
- Preparing clear reports and models for clients, insurers, and adjusters
- Site visits for stock claims; contributing to fraud, fidelity, and cyber claims as required
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years in Audit, Insolvency, Business Valuation, or Corporate Finance at a consulting or insurance firm
- Advanced Excel models, complex formulas, VBA, pivot tables and and the ability to explain your methodology
- Finance, commerce, or accounting degree
- Outgoing, curious, and not afraid to pick up the phone, this is not a behind-the-desk-only role
- Full working rights in Australia
