Senior Electrical Engineer

BEC Engineering is a well-established and respected Electrical, Power and Control Systems Engineering Services firm located in Burswood.

We are currently involved in a range of greenfield and brownfield projects around Australia and have a solid pipeline of long term projects on hand. We are inviting applications for Senior Electrical Engineers with 5+ years of experience to join our Perth team.

The Role

The role will form part of the core professional group and will contribute strongly to the overall capability of the team.

The position is project focused and involves engineering design for the mining, minerals processing and utility sectors.

The experience we are seeking includes the capability to take on a variety of roles within a project from the design and planning stages right through to finalisation and delivery.

Specifically the position will undertake:

• Detailed Engineering Design - Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls System
• Design of MCC, switchboards and switchrooms.
• Equipment selection and procurement
• Supervision of electrical, instrumentation and controls equipment installation
• Conduct Testing and Commissioning
• Management of project delivery.

This position will provide the opportunity to develop skills as you build experience in management increasingly complex projects, while working in a pro-active, friendly team environment that specialises in innovative electrical engineering design.

You will also be supported to take on challenges and develop your career path working with a team of specialised electrical engineers offering a diverse range of experience.

Key Requirements

To be successful, you will also have:

• Electrical Engineering Degree, recognised by Engineers Australia.
• A demonstrable positive can-do attitude.
• Commercial awareness.
• Well developed interpersonal and communications skills – written and spoken.
• Experience in the mining industry with consultancies, EPCM's or asset owners / operators.
