About the Role

Are you a hands-on D365 expert who thrives in a post-implementation environment where your work drives immediate impact?

At Avant, we have recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, and we are now entering a critical phase focused on stabilisation, optimisation and continuous enhancement.

We are looking for a Dynamics 365 Developer to take ownership of the platform’s ongoing evolution, ensuring it performs at its best while building strong internal capability. This role sits at the heart of our CRM ecosystem, responsible for the technical delivery, configuration and ongoing development of our Dynamics 365 platform across Customer Service, Sales and Customer Insights (Marketing).

Working closely with the Platform Owner, you will translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, while also providing critical production support and system optimisation.

What makes this role unique is its importance in the post-implementation phase, where frequent small enhancements, rapid fixes and continuous improvement are essential to business success and best delivered in-house.

Key focus areas

  • Delivering the majority of BAU enhancements and small-to-medium changes
  • Providing Level 2/3 production support and ensuring rapid incident resolution
  • Reducing dependency on external partners for routine development
  • Retaining critical platform and integration knowledge internally
  • Ensuring all solutions align with configuration-first, upgrade-safe principles

Key activities

Development & Configuration

  • Design and configure D365 solutions (entities, forms, views, workflows, business rules)
  • Develop custom plugins and workflows using C#/.NET where required
  • Build Power Platform solutions (Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Enhance UX through JavaScript customisations

Integration & Data

  • Build and maintain integrations using APIs, Azure Logic Apps and middleware
  • Manage data synchronisation and maintain high data quality standards

Platform Ownership & Support

  • Provide Level 2/3 technical support and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Monitor system performance and proactively optimise the platform
  • Manage deployments across environments and support release cycles

C ontinuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to leverage new D365 capabilities
  • Contribute to best practices, standards and reusable components
  • Mentor team members and uplift internal capability

Skills and experience required

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM development and configuration
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET, JavaScript and Power Platform tools
  • Experience with integrations, APIs and Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus)
  • Solid understanding of ALM, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
  • A proactive mindset with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Preferred but not essential: D365 and Power Platform certifications (MB-230, PL-400, etc.) and Azure certifications
