Join Murrays Coaches as a Leading Hand Heavy Vehicle Mechanic in our Fleet Team and support the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our modern heavy vehicle fleet. This role offers genuine variety, hands-on mechanical work, and the opportunity to guide and support an experienced workshop team.

What you will do
- Lead, support and mentor mechanics and apprentices.
- Allocate daily workshop tasks and assist with workflow priorities.
- Diagnose, service and repair heavy vehicles, including coaches and buses.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and assist with breakdown responses.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to Murrays standards.
- Participate in an on-call roster as part of the workshop support structure.
What you will bring
- Trade qualification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of previous experience as a qualified diesel or heavy vehicle mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic, servicing and repair skills.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring or supporting a workshop team.
- A safety-first approach and strong attention to detail.
- Current MR driver’s licence, or the ability to obtain one.
- Valid Australian Heavy Rigid (HR) driver licence preferred.
