Ready to gain hands-on experience in the sport industry and be part of delivering Australia’s largest university sporting event?

The 2026 Nationals Internship Program is now recruiting passionate and enthusiastic students to join the team delivering Nationals Perth 2026 (26 Sept-2 Oct).

At UniSport Australia, our unpaid internship program provides meaningful, real-world professional development opportunities beyond the classroom. Interns gain practical experience across sport delivery, events, marketing, operations, partnerships and workforce coordination, all while contributing to national projects that shape the student sport experience.

Digital Marketing Assistant

Operations Assistant

Sports Assistant

Workforce Assistant

Special Events & Partnerships Assistant

As a UniSport intern, you will:

Gain valuable experience within the sports industry

Develop practical skills in event delivery, logistics, coordination and marketing

Work alongside experienced sport professionals

Contribute to nationally significant projects and events

Build your professional network and strengthen your future employability

Location: Perth (flexible and remote arrangements may be available for suitable candidates)

All internship roles require full-time availability during the event delivery period from 26 September – 2 October 2026.

We understand students juggle competing commitments, so flexible arrangements can be made around study, exams, work schedules and holidays.
