Product Lead – Core Technology

$180k + super + bonus

Complex systems, real impact

Genuine career growth

A well-known, scaled Australian business is looking for a Product Lead to join their Core Technology team. This is an internal-facing product role at the heart of how the business runs, covering supply chain, fulfilment, delivery, and continuous improvement across a complex, distributed systems environment.

This isn't a consumer app role. The work here sits deeper in the business, the kind of product work where decisions have real operational weight and where understanding how a business actually makes money matters as much as knowing how to write a good user story.

The role

You'll own two squads and lead a team of product managers and business analysts, with scope to grow your remit over time. You'll set product vision and strategy across your domain, shape roadmaps, and partner closely with engineering and a centralised UX team. You'll also be a visible presence with senior stakeholders and execs, translating complex operational challenges into clear product direction.

The tech environment is a mix of legacy and modern systems, so comfort navigating that kind of complexity, and bringing a team along with you, is important.

What they're looking for

  • Someone who leads from the front and has genuinely managed people, not just influenced them. You'll have run multiple squads, handled performance conversations, and know what it takes to develop PMs who are earlier in their careers.
  • They're after someone with strong commercial instincts, real stakeholder credibility, and the ability to operate with some strategic ambiguity while still keeping delivery moving.
  • You don't need supply chain or logistics experience specifically, but you do need to be able to tell a convincing story about how the complexity you've worked with before translates here.
  • Experience in enterprise, internal tooling, operations, or similarly complex business systems environments will serve you well.

If you're a product leader who wants to do meaningful work inside a scaled, complex business, this is worth a conversation.
