As we continue to scale, we are seeking an exceptional Head of Operations to lead and optimise the engine that supports our growth.

About the Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to lead the end to end operations function of one of Australia's most recognised furniture brands.

Reporting directly to the Founder, you will oversee supply chain, inventory planning, procurement, warehousing, logistics and distribution, ensuring the right products are available at the right time while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will play a critical role in supporting continued growth, driving operational excellence and building the systems, processes and partnerships required to scale the business globally.

The Role

As Head of Operations, you will be responsible for leading and optimising the end to end supply chain, inventory planning and logistics network across the business.

Working closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience and Finance, you will translate commercial objectives into operational strategies that support business growth, customer satisfaction and profitability.

You will serve as the primary strategic liaison with logistics and warehousing partners, driving continuous improvement, inventory integrity and cost efficiencies across the entire supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute the company's supply chain and logistics strategy

Lead initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability and operational performance

Align operational capabilities with business goals and customer expectations

Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and data led decision making

Demand Planning & Inventory Management

Lead demand forecasting and inventory planning across the business

Ensure healthy inventory levels and strong stock availability

Monitor inventory performance, stock turns and working capital

Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product and Finance to support launches and growth initiatives

Develop reporting and dashboards to improve visibility and decision making

Procurement & Supplier Management

Oversee purchasing and replenishment planning

Manage supplier relationships and production schedules

Monitor supplier performance and mitigate supply risks

Support product launches and range expansion initiatives

Logistics & Distribution

Develop logistics strategies that support growth and profitability

Define warehousing and transport capacity requirements

Monitor logistics performance and proactively manage operational risks

Drive improvements in On-Time In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance

Identify opportunities to optimise the distribution network and customer delivery experience

3PL & Partner Management

Own relationships with third-party logistics and warehousing partners

Establish service level agreements and performance frameworks

Conduct regular business reviews and drive continuous improvement

Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve service outcomes

Freight & Fulfilment

Maintain visibility across inbound inventory movements

Coordinate with freight forwarders and transport providers

Manage shipment delays and operational exceptions

Oversee customer fulfilment and delivery performance across all channels

Inventory Control & Process Improvement

Lead inventory accuracy and stock integrity initiatives

Oversee stocktakes, cycle counts and inventory audits

Develop scalable systems, processes and operating procedures

Identify opportunities for automation and operational improvements

Budget Management & Analytics

Own the annual supply chain and logistics budget

Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and logistics partners

Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities

Develop KPI frameworks and reporting to support strategic decision making

Provide performance insights and recommendations to leadership

About You

You are a person of integrity who is a commercially minded operations leader who enjoys building systems, solving problems and creating scalable processes.

- Significant experience in supply chain, logistics and operations leadership

- Strong inventory planning and demand forecasting capability

- Experience managing third-party logistics providers and distribution networks

-Strong procurement and supplier management experience

-Advanced inventory management and stock control expertise

- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and cost control initiatives

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

-Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

ERP and inventory planning systems experience, ideally Cin7

- Experience within furniture, homewares, retail or consumer goods businesses will be highly regarded.
