Our Melbourne Taxation team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Consultant, R&D. In this pivotal role, you’ll be consulting with entrepreneurial businesses to fund their goals through government grant engagements and incentive programs. You will work with clients across a range of industries, including biotechnology, medical technology, software development, manufacturing and food and beverage.

Job responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant - R&D, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing client relationships
  • Leading client meetings and oversee the finalisation of deliverables
  • Preparation of R&D Tax Incentive registrations
  • Identifying eligible R&D activities and expenditure for our clients
  • Preparation of R&D Tax Incentive schedules for inclusion in income tax returns
  • Preparation of submissions of grant applications, including Federal and state-based programs
  • Undertake research and financial analysis

Requirements

Our ideal new team member has:

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a specialist R&D team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivation to grow professionally and contribute to team development
  • A genuine interest in mentoring and upskilling junior team members
  • Ability to develop trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues
