Senior Project Manager - IT Operations Transformation

The Project Manager will play a key role in delivering a large-scale operational modernisation initiative focused on improving how IT Operations is delivered. The program is driving new ways of working, modernising operational processes and tooling, and shifting the organisation from a reactive support model to a more proactive, intelligent operating environment through initiatives such as AIOps.

The Project Manager will be responsible for driving program governance and ensuring successful delivery across multiple transformation workstreams, with a particular focus on the tooling and cloud transition stream.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead program and project governance, including planning, reporting, financial management, risk and issue management, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate delivery across multiple transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment between technology, operations and business stakeholders.
• Manage the successful transition to a new Cloud Managed Services Provider, ensuring the new operating model, tooling and supporting initiatives are effectively embedded.
• Facilitate Agile ways of working, ensuring effective planning, prioritisation and delivery across teams.
• Drive collaboration across internal teams, vendors and delivery partners to achieve program outcomes.
• Monitor delivery against milestones and proactively manage dependencies and risks.

Requirements

• Strong Project or Program Management experience delivering IT Operations or infrastructure transformation initiatives.
• Experience within internal IT Operations environments is strongly preferred over consulting-only backgrounds.
• Demonstrated experience delivering operational and tooling transformation programs.
• Exposure to Cloud Managed Services transitions or large vendor transitions is highly regarded.
• Experience working with ServiceNow and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Utilities or other large, complex regulated environments are advantageous.
