8 days on, 6 days off (FIFO)

Fortescue is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Reliability Engineers interested in upcoming opportunities within our Mobile Maintenance teams across our Pilbara operations.

We're building a talent pool for multiple upcoming positions across the following disciplines:

  • Reliability Engineers – Haul Trucks
  • Reliability Engineers – Diggers & Drills

These FIFO roles provide the opportunity to work with industry-leading equipment while driving asset reliability, performance and continuous improvement across our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive equipment reliability and asset performance through data-driven analysis.
  • Identify reliability improvement opportunities and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Analyse equipment failures, trends and defect history to minimise downtime.
  • Lead and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations.
  • Develop maintenance strategies that optimise asset performance and lifecycle costs.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Operations and Planning teams to deliver reliability improvements.
  • Monitor KPIs and recommend initiatives to improve equipment availability and maintenance effectiveness.
  • Support continuous improvement across the mobile maintenance fleet.

Qualifications & Experience

You will ideally have:

  • A degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Reliability Engineering experience within mining, heavy industry or a similar environment.
  • Experience supporting Haul Trucks and/or Diggers & Drills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret maintenance and equipment performance data.
  • Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis and implementing reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • SAP experience and knowledge of reliability methodologies will be highly regarded.
