Advocacy & Engagement Manager

CCF WA is the peak body for the Western Australian civil construction industry, professionally representing 280 Contractor, Associate and Stakeholder Members. The exciting new role of Advocacy & Engagement Manager has been created to help take our representation and Member service to even higher levels.

What’s involved?

Member Engagement and Support. Maintain strong working relationships with contractor members so that they are engaged; their issues are understood; they have full opportunity to contribute to CCF WA’s advocacy and representation; and ultimately that they perceive value from membership. Respond to enquiries and requests for advice/support from Contractor Members.

Advocacy and Representation. Maintain and develop CCF WA’s profile as the ‘voice’ of the WA civil construction industry. Ensure our members’ interests are expertly represented to government, industry stakeholders and the community. Influence key decision makers through meetings, correspondence and submissions.

Member Information & Communications. Research, prepare and distribute information to Contractor Members on a wide range of issues, e.g. industrial relations, safety, training, security of payments, procurement.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who

• Has exceptional writing, speaking and organisational skills, with a proven ability to persuasively address complex issues.
• Has a strong interest in and aptitude for representation/advocacy on construction industry issues, and broader issues affecting businesses.
• Can perform all work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Can build and maintain strong relationships with members and with government and industry stakeholders.
• Has a good understanding of the processes of government.
• Can work proactively and productively with minimal direction, as part of a small and dedicated team.

This is nominally a full-time role but we’re happy to accommodate shorter hours for the right person. Starting salary range (FTE) $100,000 - $120,000 depending on experience.
