Spatial Strategist

Buro North is looking for a Spatial Strategist to join our business, working across the built environment and public realm to shape how people navigate and experience place.
You'll bring experience in wayfinding strategy and user experience design, translating complex spatial, behavioural and brand challenges into clear, intuitive solutions for precincts, campuses, transport hubs and public spaces. You're comfortable moving between big-picture strategic thinking and the detailed, practical realities of implementation.
You'll be responsible for
- Developing wayfinding and spatial strategies for major built environment and public realm projects
- Conducting user experience research and translating insights into a strategic direction
- Collaborating with architects, urban designers, industrial designers and clients to deliver integrated place experiences
- Presenting strategic recommendations clearly to clients and stakeholders
- Contributing to proposals and business development
You'll bring
- Demonstrated experience in wayfinding strategy and/or spatial UX
- Strong understanding of built environment and public realm design processes
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- A collaborative, curious approach to problem-solving
