Our team are currently looking for experienced and enthusiastic

Airfield Operations Officer’s to join the team on a permanent full-time basis.

What You'll Do

In this role, you’ll help maintain a safe and compliant airside environment by actively promoting a strong safety culture with all stakeholders. You’ll carry out regular operational and safety audits, inspections, and wildlife management activities to ensure adherence to relevant legislation and standards. You’ll also respond swiftly and effectively to incidents, playing a key role in keeping operations running safely and smoothly. Some of the key areas of responsibility for this role are:

• Carry out the functions of the Aerodrome Reporting Officer in accordance with the Aerodrome Manual, Airfield Operations Manual, Airport Operating Standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Works in close collaboration with the Airport Control Centre on airfield tasking and ensuring the ACC are kept fully abreast of activities occurring on the airfield.
• Undertakes inspections of movement areas and obstacle limitation surfaces following up on any action as required.
• Monitors wildlife activity and take appropriate action in accordance with the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan.
• Monitors and assists with the movement of airside vehicles, personnel and aircraft.
• Controls operational aspects of movement area works and coordinates with other airport users and agencies.
• Assists with incident and emergency response in accordance with Aerodrome Emergency Plan and subsidiary documentation.
• Prepares incident reports and issue infringement notices where required.
• Work collaboratively with the airside community to promote a culture of compliance with all regulatory requirements as well as Perth Airport procedures and standards.
• Maintains operational logs, reports and forms in accordance with the requirements of the Airfield Operations Manual.

About You

• Aviation operational background with minimum 3 years’ experience in airfield operations and/or airfield works – highly desirable.
• Good computer skills, knowledge of general administration with exposure to incident reporting.
• Current Western Australian Drivers Licence.
