Trade & Working Capital Finance Manager

Blake Oliver Consulting is working with one of Australia’s leading banking institutions to appoint a Trade & Working Capital Finance Manager within its commercial banking business.

This is a specialist client-facing role focused on originating, structuring and delivering trade and working capital solutions across an established commercial client base.

Working alongside Relationship Managers, Credit and Product teams, you will identify opportunities and develop tailored solutions across trade finance, invoice finance and collateral-based lending. The role combines business development with technical deal structuring and suits someone who can confidently move between client conversations, financial analysis and internal credit processes.

The Role

You will act as a specialist overlay across the commercial banking portfolio, helping clients improve cash flow, manage working capital and support domestic and international trade activity.

Key responsibilities include

• Identifying and originating trade and working capital opportunities across existing and prospective client portfolios
• Partnering with Relationship Managers to position relevant solutions and progress opportunities
• Structuring facilities across trade finance, invoice and debtor finance, and borrowing base lending
• Delivering solutions involving Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, guarantees and documentary collections
• Understanding client business models, trade flows, funding requirements and working capital cycles
• Assessing financial performance, collateral structures and client risk profiles
• Supporting credit submissions, deal documentation and transaction approval processes
• Working across Relationship Banking, Credit, Risk and Product teams to deliver commercially viable solutions
• Building and maintaining a healthy opportunity pipeline and contributing to portfolio revenue growth

What We’re Looking For

You will bring specialist experience across trade finance, working capital or invoice finance, supported by strong commercial and credit capability.

Relevant experience may include:

• Trade finance, working capital or structured lending roles within banking or financial services
• Invoice finance, debtor finance or asset-based lending business development
• Commercial or business banking roles with meaningful exposure to trade and working capital products
• Structuring borrowing base facilities and collateral-backed lending solutions
• Letters of Credit, Standby Letters of Credit, guarantees and documentary collections
• Financial analysis, credit submissions and transaction structuring
• Business development and opportunity conversion within an existing client portfolio
• You will also need to communicate complex financial solutions clearly, engage credibly with commercial clients and work collaboratively across relationship, product, credit and risk functions.
