- Lead all payroll remediation projects, ensuring deliverables, milestones and deadlines are achieved
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, reporting progress, risks and outcomes to senior leadership
- Investigate payroll discrepancies and identify root causes across payroll systems and processes
- Implement corrective actions to resolve payroll issues accurately and effectively
- Partner with HR, Finance, IT and external vendors to support remediation activities
- Ensure all remediation work aligns with legislative requirements and internal governance standards
- Prepare documentation and evidence required for audits and compliance reviews
- Communicate project updates, risks and remediation outcomes to key stakeholders
- Identify systemic issues and recommend long-term process improvements
- Update payroll policies, procedures and controls to support ongoing compliance
Profile
- Proven experience in payroll remediation, payroll compliance, payroll audit or payroll project environments
- A minimum of 5 years' payroll experience within a complex organisation
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, compliance obligations and risk management
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Outstanding planning, organisational and project management skills
