Projects Lawyer

We are working with a leading international law firm who are seeking an Associate Solicitor to join their Projects & Infrastructure practice within their Melbourne office.

The Role

The successful candidate will join an esteemed Construction and Projects team, advising on nationally significant construction mandates across energy and infrastructure sectors to facilitate the development of high-profile nationally significant infrastructure projects. The candidate’s duties will include supporting clients on project delivery issues and regulatory compliance, as well as advising clients on compliance with building legislation, statutory processes, regulatory proceedings and appeals in the construction and infrastructure sectors and supporting clients across contentious and non-contentious matters, including civil litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution.

The candidate will also demonstrate a willingness to participate in business development initiatives while managing client relationships.

Essential Criteria

• 2-6 PQE;
• Strong background in projects, construction, energy, and/or infrastructure work;
• Excellent commercial awareness;
• Outstanding academics;
• Technically excellent;
• Negotiation skills;
• Willingness to become involved in business development;
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
