About the role
As our Senior Product Planner for Vehicle Accessories, and reporting to the Manager of Collateral Business, you will be responsible for supporting new vehicle sales through the offering of accessories designed to meet customer needs and positively contribute to overall business growth.
This is an influential role for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and customer insight to shape the accessory offering for one of Australia's leading automotive brands. You will take ownership of the end-to-end accessory planning and development process, leading the creation of compelling accessory lineups and offering products that genuinely enhance the ownership experience.
How you'll make an impact
- Lead accessory planning and development for new and existing vehicle models in the Australian market.
- Develop product strategies and accessory lineups that align with customer needs and business objectives.
- Collaborate and negotiate with global and regional product teams to secure and optimise accessory offerings.
- Identify opportunities for local accessory development to enhance market competitiveness.
- Conduct market research and analyse industry trends, competitors, and customer segments to inform planning decisions.
- Own commercial and financial performance, including pricing strategy, profit analysis, margin management, and scenario planning.
- Manage go-to-market activities, including launch planning, stakeholder presentations, and sales strategy development.
- Coordinate operational execution, including SAP data management, publication of pricing/specification information, event vehicle fitment, and collaboration with Sales and Marketing on product messaging.
What you'll bring to Honda
- Degree in Business or Commerce, Engineering or relevant experience in a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products
- Good problem-solving skills with ability to identify core issues and formulate constructive countermeasures
- Ability to develop proposals based on the insights with strong logic and deliver to stakeholders effectively
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint will be highly regarded
