Mobilize is partnering with well-established Australian supplier of industrial valves, actuation and specialised flow control solutions, trusted by leading organisations across the mining, water, oil & gas and industrial sectors.

Th e Operations Le ad will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the warehouse and workshop, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. With a strong focus on goods inwards and outwards, valve assembly, workshop planning and workflow coordination, you'll lead the team, manage inventory and resources, and oversee the assembly, testing, commissioning, maintenance and repair of industrial valves, actuators and related equipment.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on ownership. You'll proactively plan upcoming work, optimise workshop space and resources, and identify operational improvements before they become issues. We're looking for someone who will drive the workshop forward by bringing solutions, resource requirements and recommendations to the leadership team, rather than relying on delegated tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead warehouse, workshop and field service operations.
  • Manage goods inwards and outwards.
  • Plan and coordinate workshop activities, including valve builds.
  • Manage workshop floor space and workflow.
  • Oversee the assembly, testing, commissioning and servicing of industrial valves and related equipment.
  • Manage inventory, shipping and receiving.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare service documentation and support continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop team members.
  • Proactively identify workshop needs and recommend improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Engineering qualification, mechanical trade or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with industrial valves, actuators or similar mechanical equipment.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and workplace safety.
  • Current Australian Driver Licence and forklift licence are advantageous.
  • Experience with SAP Business One, Salesforce and Microsoft Office is desirable.
