About the role
This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Associate (2-4 years) to join our market-leading Corporate M&A team in Melbourne. You will work on a broad range of complex and high-value matters, including public and private M&A, ECM, and corporate advisory work that often sets the pace in the market. You will collaborate closely with Corporate M&A teams across our Australian offices, gaining exposure to some of the region's most high-profile transactions and working alongside leading practitioners.
Our client base includes major public companies and financial institutions across key sectors such as financial services, energy and resources, infrastructure, agribusiness, retail and gaming. About you
As a Senior member of our Corporate M&A team you will have demonstrated experience in working on and executing transactions, playing a key role in interfacing with clients and managing key workstreams. We take a partnering approach with our key clients and you will be expected to take an active role working with members of the team to ensure efficient and effective client delivery.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both public and private M&A and general corporate advisory experience.
You will also have:
- excellent analytical, communication and technical legal skills - resulting in sound, clear and commercially astute verbal and written advice;
- a strong commitment to prompt client service;
- a curiosity and openness to exploring how AI can help us do our jobs better;
- a passion for understanding how our clients do business and what is happening in their businesses;
- genuine interest in mentoring, knowledge sharing and supporting the ongoing development of the group; and enthusiasm to be involved in business development activities.
