Program Manager

Join a key leadership role responsible for delivering complex enterprise programs that support the organisation's strategic priorities. Working across business and technology teams, you will provide end-to-end program leadership, ensuring initiatives are delivered successfully while driving strong governance, stakeholder engagement and business outcomes.

About the role

  • Lead the delivery of strategic enterprise programs from mobilisation through to closure, ensuring outcomes are achieved within agreed scope, budget, schedule and quality expectations.
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to Project Managers and cross-functional delivery teams, creating clarity around priorities, responsibilities and delivery expectations.
  • Establish and maintain integrated program plans, delivery roadmaps, critical paths, milestones and dependency management frameworks.
  • Monitor and control program scope, budget, forecasts, timelines and benefits, providing recommendations on trade-offs, variations and reprioritisation where required.
  • Drive proactive risk, issue, dependency and decision management, ensuring emerging risks are identified early and appropriately managed.
  • Apply and continuously improve enterprise delivery frameworks, governance processes, reporting standards and quality controls.
  • Prepare and present concise, decision-focused reporting for Sponsors, Steering Committees, Executives and Board forums.
  • Build strong relationships with sponsors, business leaders, technology teams, vendors and delivery partners to support successful program outcomes.
  • Work closely with Change, Business Analysis, Technology and Operations teams to ensure business readiness, adoption and transition activities are embedded into program delivery.
  • Facilitate governance forums, planning workshops, dependency reviews and risk discussions to maintain momentum and alignment across the program.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience delivering complex programs, portfolios or large-scale transformational initiatives, ideally within financial services, superannuation or another regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading programs with multiple workstreams, significant dependencies, complex stakeholder groups and substantial budgets.
  • Strong expertise across program and project management disciplines, including planning, estimation, financial management, benefits realisation, dependency management, risk management and governance reporting.
  • Proven leadership capability with experience coaching and supporting Project Managers and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across executive, operational and technical audiences.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget management, forecasting and delivery trade-off analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise and decision-focused updates to senior leaders and governance forums.
  • Experience operating in complex environments, managing ambiguity, competing priorities and challenging delivery timelines.
  • Practical understanding of change management, business readiness and adoption activities required to achieve sustainable business outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues early and drive pragmatic solutions.
  • Formal project management, program management or Agile delivery qualifications are highly regarded.

  • Experience within the superannuation industry.
  • Understanding of superannuation administration and financial services regulation.
  • Experience delivering member and customer-focused transformation programs.
