Company

A successful Australian-owned manufacturing business with ambitious growth plans and a reputation built on quality, innovation and long-standing customer relationships. As the business enters its next phase of growth and professionalisation, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced commercial CFO to join the executive leadership team.

This role will suit someone who has developed their career within a corporate environment before moving into a privately owned or family business, where they have worked closely with owners to drive growth, improve performance and help build a more sophisticated organisation.

This is an opportunity to genuinely influence the direction of the company.

Position

This is a broad leadership role where you will help shape business strategy, improve commercial performance, strengthen financial reporting and governance, and build the systems, processes and capability required to support the next stage of growth.

Working closely with the Managing Director, you will play a pivotal role in balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring finance is a genuine driver of business performance.

Profile

You are CA or CPA qualified and bring a strong commercial mindset, together with experience supporting growing businesses.

Ideally, you have built your technical and commercial foundations within a larger corporate organisation before moving into a privately owned or family business, where you've partnered closely with owners to navigate growth, professionalise the finance function and support broader commercial decision-making.

Experience within manufacturing, industrial, wholesale, supply chain or another B2B environment will be highly regarded.

Equally comfortable in the boardroom and on the factory floor, you are a pragmatic, hands-on leader who enjoys influencing strategy, challenging constructively. You understand that success in a privately owned business comes from earning trust, providing commercial insight and helping owners achieve their long-term vision.

Benefits

This is more than a traditional CFO opportunity. It is a chance to become a genuine business partner to the Managing Director and play a defining role in the next chapter of the company's growth.

A highly competitive remuneration package is on offer for the successful candidate.

To express your interest, please submit your application in Word document format. We will be in touch, and every applicant will receive a response. This position is being managed by Andrew Pownall.

Applicants must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
