Senior Estimator – Major Projects Division

Freyssinet Australia is expanding! We’re building a newly created Major Projects Division, and this is your opportunity to take the lead as a Senior Estimator. In this role, you'll spearhead estimating for high-value remedial projects, playing a key role in securing major works. As the division grows, you'll have the opportunity to build and manage your own team of junior estimators.

The Role

As a Senior Estimator in our Major Projects Division, you’ll take the lead on estimating, tender preparation, and submissions, ensuring accurate methodology, costings, and program development. You’ll collaborate closely with Business Development and Operations teams, as well as directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of estimating major remedial projects from inception to submission.
• Assess tenders to determine project scope, gathering additional information where required.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, working alongside BD & Operations on methodologies and programs.
• Engage with clients throughout the tender process.
• Follow up on project submissions and maintain detailed records.
• Improve and refine tendering processes and quality assurance standards.
• Lead and attend handover meetings with the construction team.
• Mentor and build a team of junior estimators as the division expands.

About You

• Experience: 5-15 years in Estimating within the Remedial, Civil, or Construction industry.
• Technical Expertise: Facades, Concrete Repair, Blast & Paint, Structures, or Remediation preferred.
• Leadership Potential: Ready to step into a senior role and develop a team.
• Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or Construction (or equivalent).
• Autonomy: Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects.
