This role offers a blend of traditional DBA responsibilities and modern cloud platform work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys database administration while also contributing to automation, infrastructure as code, data warehousing, and cloud initiatives. You'll work across SQL Server, Azure, and enterprise data platforms, helping drive reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Your new role

• Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server environments.
• Manage performance tuning, backup and recovery, patching, security, and high availability.
• Support and optimise data warehouse and reporting environments.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Assist with Azure cloud administration and platform improvements.
• Contribute to automation, monitoring, and CI/CD initiatives.
• Troubleshoot database and platform issues across BAU and project environments.
• Maintain technical standards, documentation, and operational procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Strong skills across performance tuning, maintenance, security, and disaster recovery.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale database environments.
• Hands-on Azure cloud experience.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Exposure to data warehousing and modern data platforms.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
