Working Flexibility: Hybrid (Melbourne & Sydney candidates expected onsite Tuesday/Thursday)

NTT Data is seeking an experienced Data Tester to support large-scale data transformation, integration, and migration initiatives. This role will be responsible for validating complex data pipelines, reconciliation processes, and source-to-target data movements across modern cloud-based and enterprise data platforms. The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Apache Kafka, and IBM DataStage, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data across batch and real-time integration environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data testing strategy, planning, execution, traceability, and reporting across data migration and transformation programs.
• Perform comprehensive source-to-target validation, reconciliation, and data verification activities across cloud and enterprise data platforms.
• Validate data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, real-time streaming integrations, and migration workloads involving GCP, Kafka, and IBM DataStage.
• Review and validate data mapping specifications, transformation logic, business rules, and data lineage requirements.
• Develop advanced SQL queries, automated validation scripts, and reusable testing frameworks to support quality assurance activities.
• Investigate data quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, manage defects, and coordinate retesting activities.
• Produce detailed test evidence, reconciliation reports, and stakeholder updates while supporting go-live and cutover readiness activities.

Skills & Experience

• Strong previous experience in Data Testing, Data Quality Assurance, Data Migration Testing, ETL/ELT Testing, or related domains.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Apache Kafka, and IBM DataStage.
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to perform complex reconciliation, validation, profiling, and exception analysis.
• Proven experience testing cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of real-time and batch data processing, source-to-target mapping validation, transformation testing, and data lineage concepts.
• Experience with test management, defect management, automation frameworks, and data quality tools.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
