Brand Content Creator
Hector's Deli
What started in 2017 as one 32sqm deli in the backstreets of Richmond has become an eight-site business that is part of the fabric of Melbourne’s hospitality scene.
As we grow, our small business mentality remains our guiding principle. We believe that some things are worth doing the slow way, and that's why we're up every morning baking fresh bread from scratch, roasting our own coffee beans, and perfecting the fundamentals that make the perfect sandwich.
Our mission is to elevate everyday food and, by investing in the new generation of hospitality leaders, create genuine growth and opportunity for our team. We're a family of people connected by a shared passion for service and product, and we're committed to being a positive, lasting presence in the local communities we serve.
Somewhere in there, there's a story worth telling properly, and we want someone who understands our brand and vision to help us tell it.
THE JOB
This is a full-time role creating content for Hector's, among other things. You'll report to our Brand Manager and work closely together to generate ideas and tell the Hector's story across social platforms. We’re looking for someone who is content-obsessed and genuinely into storytelling, not just posting.
This isn't a training role. You know social media inside out, you understand what makes an audience stop scrolling, and you know exactly what this job involves and what it takes to create great content.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
· Planning, shooting, editing and scheduling lo-fi content, mainly for Instagram and TikTok, with room for other platforms as we expand
· Helping build and execute Hector's social identity
· Coming up with content ideas, not just executing someone else's
· Managing content end-to-end from conception and filming through to editing and scheduling
· Staying on top of trends, new formats and the latest platform updates
· Assisting with wider brand duties
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
· A genuine love for social media, brand building and photography/videography
· 3+ years in a similar role — food and beverage experience is preferred but not a requirement
· Great lo-fi content skills, with bonus points if you can also handle professional camera and lighting work when needed
· A passion for food and hospitality culture
· Strong editing skills — confident with CapCut and Adobe Creative Suite
· Figma and Planoly (or other scheduling platforms) experience is welcomed, though not required
· A hands-on, can-do attitude and the ability to juggle multiple projects without losing attention to detail
WHAT WE OFFER
· A shiny new office landing later this year
· Be a part of the creation of an iconic brand in its early stages
· Work within a small team with access to real growth within the company
· Put your stamp on the Hector’s Deli brand, being the first person in this role within the business
· Delicious sandwiches and coffee, always
