Ocean Software is hiring a Head of Finance to lead our finance function and provide the financial discipline, commercial insight, and strategic support needed to help scale a growing global software business supporting defence and aviation organisations worldwide.

This is a Senior Leadership Team (SLT) role, reporting directly to the CEO and operating as the organisation's senior finance leader. The role has accountability for financial strategy, governance, performance, commercial decision support, and scalable financial operations across the business.

What you'll own

• Ocean's finance strategy, operating model and governance framework
• Executive and Board-level financial reporting, insights and recommendations
• Financial performance and commercial outcomes across the business
• Strategic investment evaluation, business planning and organisational growth initiatives

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar senior finance leadership role
• Strong technical finance capability across reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow, compliance, and controls
• Experience improving financial processes, reporting quality, and operational discipline in a growing organisation
• Commercially minded, with the ability to translate numbers into clear insights, recommendations, and actions
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on role where you can both think strategically and execute operationally
• CA, CPA, or equivalent qualifications preferred
