Site Manager

Our client is a respected Tier 3 commercial builder with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality education, community and government projects across Victoria. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they're seeking an experienced Site Manager to take ownership of a $16m school project in Melbourne's western suburbs.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations from commencement through to practical completion.

You'll lead all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, consultants and the client.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day site operations on a $16m education project.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
• Drive a strong safety culture and maintain compliance with OH&S requirements.
• Monitor quality throughout construction and manage defect prevention.
• Conduct site meetings and coordinate daily construction activities.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to maintain programme and budget objectives.
• Ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and relevant standards.
• Build positive relationships with consultants, clients and project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate site records, inspections and reporting.

About You

To be successful, you'll have:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering commercial construction projects valued at $10m+.
• Experience delivering education, government or institutional projects will be highly regarded.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate subcontractors and site teams.
• Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, safety and quality management.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with clients, consultants and trades.
• A proactive approach with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
