Are you an experienced Demand Planner looking to take the next step in your career with a genuinely supportive business that will invest in your development for the long term?

We are proud to be partnering with a well regarded global FMCG business based in Melbourne's south east to recruit a newly created Demand Planner into their team. This is a collaborative, high performing environment where good people are backed, developed, and given the platform to build a genuine career. If you are looking for more than just a job and want to be part of a business that takes its people seriously, this is worth your attention.

Reporting directly to the Demand Manager, this is a broad and varied role that sits across both demand and supply planning. You will work closely with the commercial team and key internal stakeholders, playing an important role in keeping the business running smoothly and efficiently.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts by analysing historical data, market trends, and commercial insights
  • Monitoring stock levels across the network and proactively identifying supply gaps and material shortages before they become problems
  • Working closely with the commercial team to align forecasts with sales activity, promotions, and new product launches
  • Determining purchasing requirements and ensuring supply is planned effectively to meet demand
  • Analysing supplier and service provider performance, identifying areas for improvement and holding partners accountable to agreed standards
  • Supporting S&OP processes and contributing to cross functional planning meetings
  • Continuously improving planning processes, tools, and reporting to drive better outcomes across the business

To be successful you will be a detail oriented and analytically strong planner with experience in demand or supply planning within an FMCG or similarly fast paced environment. You will be comfortable working with data, confident engaging with commercial and operational stakeholders, and motivated by the opportunity to grow your career within a global business that genuinely supports its people.

This is a newly created role — which means you have the opportunity to shape it, make it your own, and grow with it. The business offers real development pathways, a collaborative team culture, and the backing of a global organisation with the feel of a close knit local team.
