Corporate / M&A Lawyer

About the role

Lawmee is working with a well-respected ASX-listed mining company to secure an experienced Corporate / M&A Lawyer on a contracting basis.

Commencing as soon as possible, the engagement is expected to run up to 6 months, with the strong potential to extend or transition to a permanent position. Although full-time availability is preferred, part-time arrangements will be considered for the right lawyer.

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Provide advice across a range of legal functions in relation to M&A, general commercial and corporate, procurement, contracts and compliance.
• Lead and support mergers, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, and strategic investment transactions.
• Structure and negotiate complex corporate transactions, including financing arrangements, JV partnerships, offtake agreements, land-related agreements and commercial terms.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including share and asset sale agreements, joint venture agreements, funding arrangements, and related corporate documents.
• Manage legal due diligence, risk assessment, and transaction execution across domestic and international opportunities.

Who we are looking for

We would like to speak to lawyers with 7+ years’ PAE, ideally gained in leading national or international firms or within pre-eminent in-house teams. This role requires an experienced lawyer capable of operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Experience within a mining organisation will be highly regarded.
