Destination Partnerships Manager

Indicatively circa $80,000 base plus generous performance incentives.

Commencing August 2026

Help Australia's destinations compete in the digital era.

Tourism Exchange Australia (TXA) is Australia's national tourism technology platform. We help destinations connect their industry to local and global distribution, grow online engagement, ecommerce and revenue into the local tourism economy through one integrated technology platform ad economic model.

We're looking for a Destination Partnerships Manager who knows the domestic DMO and can help more destinations realise what TXA makes possible.

The role

You will grow TXA's destination network across Australia by identifying and engaging with the right DMOs and visitor economy organisations, leading the sales conversation, closing agreements, and then making sure those destinations get results.

Half of this role is building relationships and winning new partners. Half of it is ensuring the ones you've signed are activated, trained, and achieving what they came for. Both halves matter equally.

What you'll do

· Develop and work a pipeline of DMO and destination organisation prospects across Australia.

· Lead sales conversations, develop scopes of work, and close destination agreements.

· Manage onboarding, training and activation of new destination partners with our existing team.

· Build ongoing relationships that lead to renewals, expanded use and referrals.

· Represent TXA at industry events, conferences and DMO forums.

· Track and report on your portfolio.

What you'll bring to TXA

· At least 5 years in Australian destination management, regional tourism or a closely related field.

· Real experience working with or selling to DMOs. You will understand how they're funded, what they're accountable for, and what makes them move.

· Strong relationships in the Australian destination management community.

· A reputation for following through and trust.

· Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to boards, councils and industry forums.

· Self-directed, organised and commercially sharp.

· Willingness to travel for client and industry engagements.

What you'll earn

To be negotiated in the application and appointment process but indicatively circa $80,000 base salary, plus performance bonuses on every destination you sign up

Why you’ll want to work at TXA

We're a growing team doing genuinely important work for the Australian tourism industry. We believe regional Australian destinations deserve the same quality of digital infrastructure that large-scale tourism markets take for granted. We've built it and we want people who care about that outcome as much as we do.

We're remote-friendly and results-focused. If you want to be part of a team where your work creates visible, measurable impact for Australian destinations, this is it.
