Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced

SAP FICO Consultant with a minimum of 6 years of SAP consulting experience to support and enhance our SAP ECC 6.0 ERP environment.

The successful candidate will provide functional support across SAP Finance and Controlling processes, deliver system enhancements, resolve incidents, and work closely with business stakeholders to ensure SAP solutions effectively support Finance operations.

This role requires strong SAP FICO functional knowledge, problem-solving capability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary SAP support team.

Key Responsibilities

SAP FICO Functional Support

• Provide day-to-day SAP FICO functional support within a production SAP ECC environment.
• Analyse and resolve SAP Finance incidents, service requests and business issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
• Support business users with SAP process queries and system improvements.
• Ensure timely resolution of SAP support tickets in line with agreed service levels.
• Participate in SAP change management, testing and deployment activities.

SAP Finance & Controlling Expertise

SAP Financial Accounting (FI)

• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Asset Accounting (AA)
• Banking and Electronic Bank Statements
• Financial posting processes
• Tax and compliance-related processes
• Period-end and year-end closing activities

SAP Controlling (CO)

• Cost Centre Accounting
• Internal Orders
• Profit Centre Accounting
• Cost allocations and assessments
• Reporting and analysis

SAP Enhancements & Projects

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Prepare functional specifications for SAP developments and enhancements.
• Configure SAP FICO solutions based on business requirements.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing and support user acceptance testing.
• Work with ABAP developers, SAP technical teams and other functional consultants.
• Support SAP projects, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

Integration & Cross-Functional Support

• Understand integration points between SAP FICO and other modules including:
• SAP MM (Procurement)
• SAP SD (Sales & Distribution)
• SAP PS (Project Systems)
• SAP PM (Plant Maintenance)
• Analyse and resolve cross-functional process issues.
• Support end-to-end business processes involving Finance and other SAP modules.

Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Finance business users, process owners and key stakeholders.
• Provide SAP guidance and recommendations to improve business processes.
• Participate in workshops to understand requirements and define solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with business and technical teams

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Finance, Information Technology, Business or related discipline preferred.
• SAP certification in FICO is desirable.
