Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator to join their team on an 8 month contract with an immediate start available.
Working across a portfolio of Defence and Commercial Construction projects valued up to $25 million, you'll play a key role in ensuring quality systems, processes, and compliance standards are consistently achieved throughout project delivery.
This is a hybrid position, splitting your time between the client's head office south of the river and active project sites across Perth's southern suburbs. Offering $80–$90 per hour, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-profile construction projects with a well-established contractor.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain Project Quality Management Plans (QMPs).
- Conduct quality inspections, audits, and site compliance reviews.
- Manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality documentation.
- Identify, investigate, and close out non-conformances (NCRs).
- Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately and maintained in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Work closely with project teams to drive continuous improvement and best practice quality outcomes.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding quality requirements.
- Support project teams in achieving compliance with Defence, client, and Australian Standards.
- Assist with handover documentation and project close-out activities.
About You / Requirements To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Coordinator role within the construction industry.
- Experience working on Defence, commercial, government, or large-scale building projects.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and construction quality processes.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Current Australian driver's licence and the ability to travel between office and project sites.
