ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Digital & Marketing Officer is a key member of Melbourne Park's Executive Leadership Team and will lead the organisation's brand, marketing, audience growth and digital engagement strategy.

This newly established executive role presents a unique opportunity to shape how millions of people connect with one of Australia's most iconic destinations. Combining creativity, data, technology and commercial thinking, the Chief Digital & Marketing Officer will build stronger audience connections, drive visitation and loyalty, and position Melbourne Park at the forefront of digital engagement and customer experience.

Working collaboratively across the Executive team and with promoters, sporting organisations, commercial partners and government stakeholders, the role will help shape Melbourne Park's future as a connected, audience-led destination while delivering meaningful commercial and organisational outcomes.

STRATEGIC PRIORITIES

Executive Leadership & Enterprise Strategy

Contribute as a member of Melbourne Park's Executive Leadership Team, embedding audience insight, digital capability and brand thinking into organisational strategy, investment decisions and long-term precinct planning.

Brand, Marketing & Audience Growth

Lead Melbourne Park's brand and marketing strategy to grow audiences, strengthen the precinct's reputation and create deeper connections with guests through compelling storytelling, integrated campaigns and data-informed decision making.

Digital Experience & Innovation

Shape the future of Melbourne Park's digital ecosystem by evolving digital platforms, marketing technology and audience engagement capability, while leveraging emerging technologies and AI to deliver seamless, personalised experiences.

Audience Insight & Commercial Growth

Harness audience data and behavioural insight to inform strategic decisions, optimise engagement, support commercial partnerships, enhance ticketing performance and build long-term audience loyalty across the precinct.

Leadership & Capability

Build and lead a contemporary, high-performing marketing and digital function that fosters innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement and future-ready capability.

ABOUT YOU

You are an accomplished executive with significant experience leading contemporary marketing, digital and customer engagement functions within complex, audience-led organisations.

You bring a track record of translating strategy into measurable commercial outcomes, using customer insight, technology and innovation to drive growth, engagement and loyalty. You are equally comfortable influencing at Executive and Board level as you are building high-performing teams and strong stakeholder partnerships.

You will bring:

  • Significant executive leadership experience within a customer-facing, audience-led or experience-driven organisation.
  • Deep expertise across brand, marketing, digital engagement and audience growth.
  • Experience leveraging customer insight, data and technology to improve commercial performance and customer experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams through transformation and capability uplift.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Digital, Business or a related discipline.
