We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Payroll Manager to join our People & Culture team on a 7-month parental leave cover contract.

About The Role

Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, this position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll across our Sydney and Gold Coast properties. The role also supports Workcover administration and provides payroll advice and guidance to managers and colleagues.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional seeking a flexible part-time role within a prestigious hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process fortnightly payrolls accurately and within required deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Awards, including Hospitality Industry (General) Award (HIGA), Hair and Beauty Award, and Manufacturing Award where applicable
  • Manage payroll records, reporting and payroll administration processes
  • Liaise with department leaders regarding payroll matters and personnel changes
  • Manage payroll-related benefits, deductions and allowances
  • Provide payroll reporting and analysis as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated payroll management experience, preferably within hospitality or a multi-site environment
  • Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Award interpretation and compliance
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Advanced computer and payroll systems knowledge
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative P&C team
