Astro Capital Finance is a fast-growing private credit lender, and we're expanding into Victoria. We're looking for an energetic, highly motivated Business Development Manager to be our person on the ground in Melbourne, building our broker network, originating quality deals, and owning the Victorian market from day one.

This is a rare opportunity to get in early with a growing lender, back yourself with an uncapped commission structure, and shape a state's growth story rather than inherit someone else's patch.

What you'll be doing

• Originating private lending opportunities across commercial, residential and SMSF finance by building strong relationships with mortgage brokers, aggregators, accountants, financial planners and referrers
• Owning your deals end-to-end, from first enquiry through structuring, credit, documentation and settlement
• Preparing loan scenarios, indicative terms and proposals, and negotiating pricing within approved delegations
• Growing and managing a quality pipeline across Victoria, with regular travel to meet brokers and attend industry events
• Acting as Astro's brand ambassador in the Victorian market

What we're looking for

• Experience in finance and lending, ideally 4+ years in private/non-bank lending, commercial finance, broking or mortgages (exceptional candidates newer to industry will be considered)
• An established network and broker list in Victoria, or the drive and relationships to build one fast
• A self-starter who thrives working autonomously. You'll be working from home with the freedom to run your own diary
• Strong relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills
• Sound understanding of credit assessment, loan structuring and security
• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel across Victoria (and occasionally interstate)
• A degree in finance or Cert IV in Mortgage Broking is a plus, but not required. We care more about your hustle and your network
