Company Description
A1 Communication Rigging Services is a Western Australian telecommunications contractor based in Perth, specialising in tower construction, telecommunications equipment installation, upgrades and maintenance.
We deliver projects throughout metropolitan and regional Western Australia for a range of telecommunications, infrastructure and resources-sector clients. Our work includes new tower builds, network upgrades and ongoing support for existing telecommunications sites, with a strong focus on safety, quality and reliability.
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Rigger to join our team on a full-time or casual basis.
The role involves constructing telecommunications towers and installing, maintaining and upgrading telecommunications equipment at sites across Western Australia.
Key responsibilities include
- Construction and assembly of telecommunications towers and associated structures
- Climbing towers and other telecommunications structures
- Installation of antennas, feeders, cabling, mounting hardware and associated equipment
- Inspection and basic testing of installed equipment
- Assisting with maintenance and fault-finding activities
- Participating in risk assessments, pre-start meetings and toolbox talks
- Working closely with supervisors, field crews and project managers to meet project requirements and timelines
- Maintaining compliance with company, client and site-specific safety standards
Employment Conditions
- Full-time or casual employment available
- $38–$50 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
- Travel allowance provided
- Work across metropolitan and regional Western Australia
- Working away from home will be required
- Some work may be undertaken outside standard working hours, depending on project requirements
Essential Requirements
- Current Working at Heights certification
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Rigging High Risk Work Licence
- Dogging High Risk Work Licence
- Construction White Card
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Ability to work safely at heights and follow established safety procedures
- Ability to read and follow work plans and instructions
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to travel and work away from home when required
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- EWP High Risk Work Licence
- Forklift High Risk Work Licence
- Excavator competency or ticket
- Confined Space Entry certification
- Tower Rescue training
- EME Awareness training
- Previous experience working on mine sites
- Previous experience with telecommunications tower construction
- Experience installing antennas, feeders, coaxial and fibre cabling
- Familiarity with telecommunications testing equipment and installation standards
The successful applicant will be safety-focused, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a small field crew. They must be comfortable working outdoors, travelling throughout Western Australia and working away from home when required.
