In Australia we own and manage the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, and the Tropicana Gold Mine (70% AGA owned 30% Regis Resources). These are two of Western Australia’s premier gold operations, with ongoing investment and exploration taking place across both open pit and underground operations at each site.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a passionate Specialist – Environment to join our Environmental operations team. Reporting directly to the Manager Environmental Approvals and Closure, this is a regional role based in our Perth office, with ad hoc travel to our operational sites of Tropicana and Sunrise Dam.

This is your chance to play a key role in shaping environmental performance, supporting compliance, and driving continuous improvement across site operations by leading the implementation of our environmental management systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Supporting the management of environmental compliance and regulatory obligations activities for our two operational sites and management of identified environmental headwinds.
  • Facilitate the capture and reporting of important performance metrics and develop reports to support business understanding of environmental risk and to drive operational priorities.
  • Identify and support the development and implementation of environmental improvement strategies.
  • Conduct routine environmental audits and inspections in line with internal and external expectations
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and influence other teams to support environmental performance objectives.
  • Support the coordination and mobilisation of consultants and other specialists for site-based works as required.

About You

You’re someone who brings both expertise and curiosity — someone who wants to make a real impact . We are looking for:

  • Demonstrated understanding of environmental hazards and risk management at an operational level (site-based experience will be highly regarded).
  • Excellent knowledge of state based environmental legislation and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to deliver technical reports and management of data to support business understanding of environmental risk.
  • Experience in coordinating environmental consultants, contractors and other service providers.
  • Experience in the coordination and implementation of Environmental Management Systems, audits and ISO accreditation processes.
  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
