Your New Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Performance Marketing Specialist, to drive paid media, SEO and digital performance across Development Victoria’s housing portfolio.
You will be responsible for delivering best-practice performance marketing strategies across paid media with a strong focus on optimisation of strategies, generating qualified enquiries, improving campaign performance and strengthening the customer journey across digital channels.
You’ll work across Google Ads, Meta, GA4, GTM, SEO and property portal performance, using data to test, learn and make clear recommendations on targeting, creative, landing pages, channel mix and budget pacing.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, testing what works, and turning performance insights into practical recommendations that lift results.
This role is an ongoing, hybrid opportunity with a mix of working at our head office in Melbourne CBD and working from home.

Core Accountabilities
- Own day-to-day execution with agency support across Google Ads and Meta, including campaign set-up, optimisation and budget pacing.
- Manage ongoing optimisation against agreed KPIs recommending shifts in targeting, creative, landing pages and channel mix.
- Implement and maintain GA4, GTM and campaign tracking, including event definitions and QA, in alignment with the martech governance set by the Marketing Technology & Digital Performance Manager.
- Implement tagging requirements for new web builds and landing pages, ensuring clear measurement for paid + SEO activity.
- Monitor property portal listing performance (REA/Domain) and provide listing optimisation recommendations
- Contribute insights into segmentation and audience strategy by analysing campaign/audience performance data
- Apply and optimise AI-enabled ad platform features and share learnings for scale across the portfolio.
About You
Desired Skills and Experience
You’re a results-driven performance marketer who is curious, analytical and comfortable working across both strategy and execution.
You know your way around paid media platforms and analytics tools, and you’re confident making recommendations that improve lead quality, conversion and return on investment. You can manage budgets, test campaigns, review results and explain what needs to change in a clear, practical way.
You Will Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in performance marketing, ideally in an agency or in-house marketing team.
- Strong hands-on experience across paid media, SEO and conversion optimisation.
- Advanced working knowledge of GA4, GTM and conversion tracking QA.
- Practical SEO execution experience, with tools such as SEMrush considered beneficial.
- The ability to analyse campaign and audience data and translate insights into clear actions.
- Strong attention to detail, prioritisation and the ability to manage competing timelines.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- A proactive mindset and interest in continuous improvement, testing and emerging digital trends.
