Lawyers – Family Law and Criminal Law (1–3 Years and 3–5 Years PAE)

We are seeking two motivated and responsible Lawyers to join our team, working in Family Law, Protection & Care, Restraining Orders and Criminal Law – one with 1 to 3 years' post-admission experience, and one with 3 to 5 years' post-admission experience.

We require you to commence immediately and to commit to full-time hours.

You will work on and be responsible for a range of tasks required in the operation of a busy law firm, including:

1. running your own files under supervision, across our practice areas;
2. drafting court documents, affidavits, letters and briefs to counsel;
3. conducting legal research;
4. appearing in the Family Court, Children's Court, Magistrates Court and District Court of WA;
5. liaising with clients, other team members and external stakeholders, including the DPP, Legal Aid and barristers; and
6. a range of other tasks as required, including – for the more senior role – assisting in the supervision and mentoring of junior lawyers.

You will need to hit the ground running and have:

• strong drafting and legal research skills;
• good time management, including attention to detail under strict time limits;
• an ability to communicate effectively with clients, other team members and external stakeholders;
• sound advocacy skills, and, for the more senior role, a demonstrated ability to independently manage a caseload; and
• a 'can do' attitude.

A second language would be appreciated but is not essential.
