Interactive Fire Systems is a well-established fire protection installation and maintenance company delivering high-quality fire solutions across Western Australia.
With a strong pipeline of secured projects and continued business growth, we’re looking for an experienced Dry Fire Technician to join our expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a professional and supportive team across some of Perth’s significant commercial developments and high-profile projects, while also having the opportunity to broaden your experience within our maintenance and service division
About the Role
As a Dry Fire Technician, you’ll be involved in the installation, commissioning, fault finding and rectification of fire detection and EWIS systems across a diverse range of commercial projects throughout the Perth metropolitan area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installation of fire detection and EWIS systems
- System fit-off, testing and commissioning
- Basic programming and configuration of fire systems
- Fault finding, diagnostics and rectification
- Coordinating project activities and site requirements
- Reporting project progress to management
- Ensuring work complies with relevant Australian Standards and company procedures
- Opportunities to gain experience within our maintenance and service division
Maintenance & Service Opportunities
For technicians looking to broaden their experience, there are also opportunities to work within our maintenance division, including:
- Routine inspection, testing and servicing of dry fire systems
- Preventative maintenance in accordance with Australian Standards
- Fault diagnosis and repair of fire detection and EWIS systems
- Identifying and recommending system upgrades and improvements
- Exposure to a wide range of commercial, industrial and government facilities

Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone with:
- Current Australian Cabler Registration
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence
- Current White Card (Construction Induction)
- Good knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
- Experience with commercial fire detection system installations
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
